I'm in the process of installing all new wiring in my 56, but I can't see an easy way to replace the rear wiring. It seems to be stuck above the rear fender well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: C1 Rear Wiring
after the st louis guys pulled the rear harness thru the rear quarter/inner skirt interface, they smeared a glob of resin/filler at the interface. you'll have to chisel away the resin/filler glob off the fibrglass panels. be certain to attach a piece of wire or nylon rope to the original rear harness before removing the original so as to use yer rope as a guide to pull the repo rear harness back into place. its a pita proceedure but can be done. mike- Top

Re: C1 Rear Wiring
Jerry, I had the same problem on my '57. Tried every way to gently weasel the wire through the hole from the trunk towards the front of the car with no luck. Once I got the interior totally stripped I found a 5 pin connector in the area where the dash and the L/S kick panel intersect. The wires went through a gromet and inside the L/S rocker panel. I removed the connectors from the junction block and taped them to some stainless steel aircraft safety wire and fished them through the rocker to the soft top well and them over the fenderwell and out through the trunk little effort. I tied them off on both ends and am currently in other phases of restoration on the chassis. At least it came out easy with that method.- Top
