    NCRS Western Regional

I took about 30 minutes of video at the meet. I hope the names are right and if I left out your car it was totally by accident. Some cars did not display there NCRS card so are unidentified. Click on the Western Regional picture, clip 4 is still uploading be patient.

    Kevin,

Thanks for the video. I didn't go. Was this held in an underground parking garage? That's certainly not a very attractive venue for the cars. I would have thought they would have found a grassy park or something?

        Patrick,

Maybe that is wishful thinking, I don't know. I've never been to Las Vegas, but it sure seems to me that they could certainly build anything there, after seeing pictures.

          Re: NCRS Western Regional

The hotel was just off-strip and land is pricey in that neck of the woods to have open grassed areas... It's reasonably common for a hotel hosting an NCRS convention to offer space in their parking structure for the judging field.

Typically, they give the top floor to sport open sunlight, but also provide a lower floor as a 'backup' facility should the weather be incliment. When we arrived on Wednesday to kick things off, it was cold, over cast, spitting an occassional rain drop and windy as all get out.

Soooo, the 'backup' plan was executed using the floor of the parking structure one flight down. Things cleared up late Thursday, but judging was already 50% complete and trying to round up owners to move the 'fleet' almost always proves futile. This is especially true in a host city like Las Vegas where many used their free time to take in headliner shows around town. That's why the facilities appear dark and dingy...it's just one of those things the weatherman sometimes throws our way!
