    Extra Instrument Light

After installing my rebuilt instrument panel back into my 1965 & installing what I thought were all the #20 gray wired instrument bulbs, I discovered I had one left over. I checked behind the dash & all the instrument bulbs were in place, as were the 2 clock bulbs, the ignition switch bulb, and the lighter bulb. I waited for a dark night & turned out the lights in the garage to see if any panel areas lacked illumination. Everything seemed to be lit except the wiper control and the headlight pull switch. The heater pull controls on the center console also were illuminated. My 65 is an early build car & I wonder if the technician that rebuilt my panel could have substituted another bulb housing that has one less light socket. Did later C2's have a change in this area?

65 Instrument clusters have 2 more ilumination bulb locations than the 63-64 clusters, I believe. Is there any chance you have a 63-64 cluster housing being used with a 65 wiring harness?
