    58 vette

    Can anyone tell me if my 58 with hardtop only, never had a soft top intalled, is rare within the total number of 58's? it has a 4.11 posi, and not original engine. Heater, 15 inch wheels, windshiel washers, ect. Serial number ends with 0000394. Early 58 yes, but rare, or run of the mill? Thanks. Gary

      The Corvette black book shows that 2215 corvettes in 1958 were hardtop only.Total production was 9168 so roughly 24% of 58 vettes were equipped this way.

          In my opinion ALL '58 vettes are rare, very few if any appear at the shows in CT.
