This is the GM dealer accessory for a 55 Corvette only having the Bowtie logo,55 car design is different then Corvette. A vary vary rare NOS I've only seen one mine,

You should start looking for accessories for your 59 vett. makes it different then all the others unless your a NCRS judged Corvette!

Other years gas caps=upper/L 56 car
Upper /R 56 vett
Bottom /L 67 vett
Bottom /R 64
Just some to look at every year had it's own gas cap Car or Corvette as a dealer accessory

Hi Roy,

I have a few items like that emergency light but no goodies like yours. I've had the car 21 years, and it's pretty judgeable but never did a regional. I may do that
down here in Florida now that we're settled in. We moved from NH last fall and still unpacking!

That really looks nice. Are there any record's to indicate how many were produced. Do you know if all early vette locking gas caps were a dealer supplied option?

There are no records and the locking gas cap was a dealer accessory for each year Corvette.
