anyone know for shure what the screws look like for the armrest they are 1/4 20 2 inch long phillips but what size is the head on the screw ,i have what i think to be original 3 of the four screws and the head is about 5/16 across and is a tall head , recently i ordered a set from LIC and they claim correct screw and they sent me four (wood screws) with washers, not even 1/4 20 2 inch but wood screws ,oh boy what next.

Boy that's pretty disappointing about LICS. Your 3 screws are the original type 1/4 x 20 fillister (tall) head phillips. That's what LICS formerly supplied for this application.
I will say this however, getting those machine screws to engage properly in the nut plate on the door can be a BEAR!! Sheet metal screws will actually solve that mis-alignment issue very neatly -- they just cut new threads.
So maybe LICS is selling those in the interest of customer satisfaction (ha). -
