The hole for my park brake cable to enter the cockpit is lined up correctly. The 2 mounting holes are not prepunched in the firewall insulation. The AIM makes no mention of this. So I presume the repo. guy forgot these holes, or is this firewall insulation made for more than one year? Does the park brake mount sandwich the firewall insulation between the mount and firewall or is it to be cutout to fit directly against the firewall? Thanks DG

On my original '65 (with original firewall insulation) the insulation and black cardboard have one hole approximately 7/8 to 1 inch in diameter punched in them. The parking brake mount is against the firewall and the threaded end of the mount protrudes through the single hole. If I haven't made myself clear, feel free to reply.
