63 swc "survivor" value

put my original 63 swc on e-bay last weekend as a test. have been advised not to restore or modify this car as i would devalue it, so i decided to see how desirable an original car was...my starting price was in the mid 40'S with a buy it now price in the mid 60's. with less than 2 days to go i have not had 1 single bid. this weekend i plan to pull my cluster and clock to have them repaired, and then i will be replacing my springs and installing a new radiator. eventually plan on some american mags, a mild cam and flowmaster exhaust. will this be a problem with longterm value provided i save original parts

You probably don't want to hear this, but...

The pictures are small, out of focus and generally have poor lighting. Trying to "read into" the pictures it appears to be a nice car that hasn't been messed with excessively. But, I'm not surprised that you have not had a bid. You may generate interest but I don't think you will get much money with your current presentation.

I don't know why you'd replace the springs if they're not broken. Reproduction springs rarely sit right.

I wouldn't touch the engine (cam) or exhaust if there's any chance that they haven't been touched.

The wheels of your choice can easily be removed and the originals reinstalled.

If you really want to build a car to play with, sell this one in an appropriate venue, and find one that you won't hurt by changing whatever you want. Or, clean this one gently and put on your wheels of choice. Drive it and have fun, and sell it when you find a project car that better suits you.

I agree with Patrick and Wayne also---
On E-bay you need great pictures set a reserve and start the biding at $1000. and get some interest in your 63. If you have a survivor a Driveline ad will find more people interested in original Corvettes. An auction at Bloomington or Carlisle will get you what it is worth and you could find something to buy at the same time that meets your needs.

thanks for tips, will keep that in mind if i get serious about selling. my car is early car with the small springs and they have sagged. if repros are not good, does anyone have any recommendations
