Pictures of 67 Under hood paint?

Hello,
I took my 67 to the painter on Monday and he is getting it ready to be painted. He was wanting to see some pictures of the underneath side of the hood around the hinges and also around the edges to see exactly where the break between the black and body color would be and also how straight the lines are. I was thinking I remembered reading the line is not real clear but kind of fuzzy. Can anyone help with some photos? Or tell me where I can find some? I would like to see some close up pictures around the hinge area if possible. Thanks so much, any help is appreciated.

Here is a photo of an original 67. The paint line follows the notch down to the hinge and then drifts off toward the edge of the hood.


There is no definite "mask line" beyond the hinge....

Excellent pictures! I'm in the process of restoring a '65 convertible and was looking for just such a picture to show my painter. What does the front, underside lip of the hood look like? I would assume that this same process was done back in 1965???

The black out of the hood was done on the body, soooo, the front edge, which is pointed down with the hood open was not painted like the sides and rear where it was masked. I'd paint the leading edge hood blackout by spraying from the rear of the hood at about the angle of someone standing next to it as if it were open........ nothing exact about this process.

Note: Its "psychologically" difficult to make a good paint job look "sloppy"..... like the original.
