C2 '65 hard top rear window

I've just received a hard top rear window. i'am planning to rebuild my '65 hard top next year.
The hard top rear window was deliverded with a green plastic protection on both side's.
What does the "glue" on this plastic do to the plexiglas if i let it sty on the window for a year????

Twan, I have no idea, but why don't you just take it off and store the window in a safe place? For whatever it's worth, I left the clear film on a sheet of plexiglas for several months, and it had to be removed in tiny little pieces. I wouldn't run the risk. How's the weather in the Netherlands?

The reason why is that,on my work we have a big problem to remove this film (is not the same) on the plastic covers at the machine's
