Sometimes you're in a situation where there's insufficient demand to stimulate retooling for a repro part and the originals are VERY hard to find. Sooooo, you either take the judging deduction for a current day service replacement and wait, or move heaven/earth trying to find the elusive originals that remain in the market...

I doubt that you'll see reproductions of these tires any time soon, if ever. In fact, at the present time and as far as I know, there are no reproductions of any obsolete radial tire currently being manufactured. Radial tire manufacturing does not lend itself to small volume, reproduction tire runs.

You have a couple of options here. When you state Polysteel Radial I'm assuming you're referring to either the black P225/70R15 or the same in a white solid letter.

I've yet to see these at swap meets but have found the Good Year Eagle GT series but would not trust them for road service. Which leaves you with the Good Year Eagle service replacement in a solid white letter which minimizes your deduction. This is produced in a P225/70R15 solid white letter.

Deduction wise, you're looking at 6 points for each tire for originality and condition with a one point deduction per tire for the minor differences between the original Polysteel Radial and the OEM service replacement.

Hi Mike, Give Roger Judski a call at Roger's Corvette Center. 407 628 8300. He might still have some of those original Goodyear tires in stock. He might not want to part with them. But it's worth a call to find out.Good Luck. Save the Wave.>George
