1966 wiper arm shaft weather proofing

    Hi
What can I use to replace the dried out black weather proofing that is on the mounting plate for the wiper arm shaft in the cowl.
    Thanks Tony

Silicone sealant (RTV), or similar. Best stuff to use, at about $18.00/tube, is 3M Urethane windshield adhesive. I would not use the strip sealant (aka "dum-dum") that was factory applied. It dries out and cracks, eventually.
