Re: 1975 corvette?
Definitely on windshield pillar! Have a '75 and '77 sitting in shop and they both have a VIN plate on post. Beware of a car without a VIN plate. You could get stopped in a traffic check and have your car confisicated. I stand to be corrected, but I believe that it is a felony to not have a visible tag.Dick Whittington- Top

Re: 1975 corvette?
Robert, do you know where to look on the windshield pillar post? Stand outside of the car on the drivers side and look down towards the steering wheel through the windshield at the pillar post. You should see it at that angle if it is there. There is a cut out of the pillar post cover where the VIN plate should be visible.

It should definitely, for 100% certain be found on the left side pillar post regardless of whether the car is a 75 or a 76. As others have noted, you should see it within the "cutout" on the pillar post trim. However, sometimes the trim becomes dislocated and may "hide" part of the VIN plate. If there actually is no VIN plate, that's a MAJOR problem. That means that there's nothing to "tie" your registration and/or owner certificate to this car.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
