Rear Straight Axle Shocks

Does anyone know if spiral shocks are being reproduced? I'm working on a 56 that needs them. Thanks for helping.

Jerry, there have been a few posts on this in the past. Despite rumors that a vendor was going to start to manufacture spiral shocks for C1s, none have been made to my knowledge. Try the archives, you might find the potential manufacturer and see if they have any immediate plans.

That would be

Dynacorn, most likely. They were planning on producing the 47-54 Chevy P/U rear shock, p/n 1011A. Should have been available several years ago, but got sidelined. Their later p/u spiral shock is available, although the end fittings are different.

I have a set of used spiral shocks--good shape, just removed for some? reason.
Let me know if you haven't found any other leads. These won't be ungodly expensive. It'sll take me a few days, since they're in the barn and we got 12" snow plus freezing rain yesterday/last night.
