    C2 Air Conditioning

Does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for the air conditioning system on a 66? Thank you.

      Hint:

Look in the rear section of the AIM under C60, Air Conditioning option, for the wiring diagram details that apply to the added option vs. the base car...

66 Chev Chassis Service Manual; clearer than AIM

This applies to ALL wiring diagrams --- I rarely use the AIM versions.

                Gary -

Try the C60 section, sheet E9 for the A/C wiring diagram.

I agree with Wayne, the Chevrolet Service Manuals have better diagrams and are much clearer than AIM diagrams.

John: I finally found the wiring diagram with your help. Why don't they make the index in this guide a little more informative?? Anyway, thanks very much for your help.

                        Gary -

The Assembly Manual was an Engineering document, so the parts are arranged by their UPC (Uniform Parts Classification) groups in the base car section, and by the alphanumeric RPO code number in the option section, the way they were released by Engineering. Each section has a "contents" sheet at the front so you'll know where (on which sheet) to find the part(s) you're looking for. In the C-60 section, the first sheet (A1) has the contents of that section at the top, where it shows sheet "E9" as the Wiring Diagram.
