    Sorry NCRS members, I apologize

    Hey fellow members,
I am sorry for my messages on the board the other day. I was just really upset & mad at AZ NCRS chapter, that I know longer belong to. As I was accused of trying to use my illnrss to pass over others to get my car Top Flighted, so I could have gone to Utah convention & PV my car. My car already has 3 Star award from NCRS. I went through great expense to put all the original parts back on, As many here know that I keep many parts in climate conrol to keep them from deteriating/ stolen. I was assured she'd make the cut. Well she didn't & I OJ'd the event for the 1st time. They could have judged her, I was there. I no longer can drive her, just as I told our Judging guy. I guess Utah was last year & now I can no longer drive my car & have any good memories being an NCRS member.I should not have judged the whole NCRS. He asked that I didn't divulge certain info about him & I didn't. He in turn told the board here in AZ about my illness & my evil attempt to pass others. I atleast had the integrity not to give his info to anyone. He is like my car, a survivor & I told him I was happy for him. I am not as lucky. Thanks for all your help in the past.
    Sincerely,
    Deb

Sorry to hear of your illness, but glad you realize that there are some really good people in the NCRS. As with any club or organization there will always be a few that give the rest a bad name. Just try and remember the good times you had with the car and don't sweat the little things.

      Hi Terry,
Thanks,Like yourself Tim Mickey is one of them. If only I could have made it to Utah to meet all you guys & Tracy, to thank you all in person. I thought I had completed makeing all my dreams come true when I bought my 58, but to win an award would have been the iceing on the cake. Then letting go of Blu' might have been easier.
      Sincerely,
      Deb

Deb, Why don't you have someone do the driving part of the PV for you and you do the rest of the operations. I'm sure you could find someone to help. There is nothing like passing a PV then getting The Duntov Award.

There are a lot of Great people in the NCRS. Good Luck.

            Hi Paul,
I wish it were that easy. How can I, you have to Top Flight at a chapter event first.
This was the closest place I could be to have done that. I live in Arizona, what are the chances of being able to get my Chapter Top Flight award, we had a Regional in Flagstaff here not long ago.Telling me there is nothing like passing a PV then getting The Duntov Award, well just makes me feel even worse. Tell that to the judging guy who has a heart of stone.I am leaving this state & I can't get out of here fast enough.I was lucky to get such a great car. I joined a car club locally & they had there yearly event & said remember this is just for "FUN". So I went, thinking it was just for "FUN". I got into a staging lane when I took ole blue to the autocross, one of the events planned that day. One of the club officals obviously
didn't think that the only C-1 could do well or even be there. I guess it pissed him off, I drove well but I have head trauma & couldn't remember the course,a nice guy named Felix said, I'll come & help you go through the course. Well I did real well & poor Felix was the first person to hold onto Blu's grab rail in 40 years as Blu did her thing & I was so proud. Only to have it totally destroyed by who else, a club offical. As I pulled back up into the staginging area & got kudos from a few well wishers. They said Blu was leaking Tranny fluid, that I know is slicker than oil. But the guys all said she could race it's commimg out of the dip stik tube, as it is placed low inside the engine compartment. This guy just started screaming at me. I didn't want to screw up the track for the Petty wantabees. I withdrew from the race & cried all the way home. They never seen or heard from me again. But I found a nice new AZ chapter of the SACC, started by the NCRS guy who checked on the car for me when I was buying it.Steve has become a friend & I will be sorry to let that group go, they are nice people & they do have fun. So at least my last year wasn't a total loss. Noland took Blu'over the 70,000 original miles & I got to meet John Kennedy, another best of what NCRS has to offer. I urge younger members to follow their lead in simple human kindness. I don't wear a sign that says disable on my back,no one should have to do that.
Thank you for you kind response,
            Deb

              Debra,

2008 will be the 50th Anniversary for 58 Corvettes. There will be special activities for 58 Corvettes at all the major Corvette events across the country, Bloomington, Carlisle, the NCRS National Convention. It is not necessary to enter the car in judging to participate. You should consider some of those.
