C1 brass radiator replacement or repair

I've pulled my radiator for repair, and have 2 questions -

1. Any experience reports good or bad with radiator shops in the San Pedro - Lomita - Torrance CA environs?

2. (In case...) Expreriences with replacement radiator sources?

Can't help you with the San Pedro part, but for replacement radiators you can't beat DeWitt's. He advertises in the Driveline or go to www.DeWitts.com. He has direct replacement aluminum and brass radiators. It's not worth it to try and rebuild your old one. Check the archives for others thoughts on this.

I just had my '60 radiator recored (Washington State), it looks and works great.

Al,

I agree with Terry, go with a DeWitts.
I installed a DeWitts aluminum radiator in my 57 and love it.
It improves cooling ( a serious issue in Oklahoma summers ), fits well and looks good. After I painted the new radiator black I compared the original and the new one and found very little detectable difference and it looks original when installed in the car.
