Exhaust system care

I'm about to install a new exhaust system front to back on the car. Since it won't be running until late fall of '07, any suggestions on prepping it for rust prevention while I'm finishing the bodywork and interior? It is a standard set of pipes and mufflers, not stainless.

Carbon steel, or aluminized?

Spray it with Pre-Lube-6 every few months. This will prevent the formation of any surface rust and will only take a few minutes to do each time.
