C3 Battery Box

I am doing a frame off on a 60 big block coupe that seems to have had a half shaft blown into the battery box thus causing a great deal of damage to the lower portion of the box (1/2 of it is gone) so I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get a used one as a splice would seem easier than a fabrication.

try www.contemporarycorvette.com or Paragon for a splice in piece. Lots of places elsewhere.

This sort of problem is an object lesson for using only high quality u-joints and u-joint maintenence.

Yes I think the car was abused in the old days and I assume there was a little racing going on with a prior owner. By the way, I meant to say 69 coupe I guess a 60 coupe would be a sight to see.

I looked up Contemporary Corvette on Google Earth. Looks like a lot of cars in the yard.
