Re: No White Christmas? This Should Help
I've tried without success to talk my way into one of the shakedown rides or test session years ago through various engineers.
Never quite got one. I may have come close once when I was braking shorter without activating the ABS than the other guy who did activate ABS. He claimed it was not possible, and would have a talk with the person responsible.
Never give up, it is the kind of job we dream of.- Top

Re: No White Christmas? This Should Help
Chris,
ASR was actually a Bosch traction control system. The 1992 model year saw the introduction of the LT-1 and traction control. The guys in the picture are engineers, one guy was the engineer for Corvette base brakes, another is the lead engineer for the traction control system. Of the remaining two, one guy is a development engineer from Milford Proving Ground and the other is me. Rick Smith can probably figure out which one is me if he's not still sleeping off his free lunch from Friday.- Top

Chance at ride & drive
I saw a notice that there was to be an auction -- through the NCM, I think -- to go on a shakedown (I think they call it "ride & drive") for the 2008 models. You might want to check out the NCM site Mike.Terry- Top
