If that thing is worth 20 large, it proves there is money in moose heads. Imagine if had a numbers matching body.

There is a great bar/restaurant in Pasedena, Ca. The owner has several mounts on the wall including a mooses head and they are worth more than 20 Large each.

Never underestimate what someone is willing to pay for something.

            Joe,

I'm not out to keep saying no, but...

One of my hobbies is hunting (I'll be out Friday and Saturday), and I still say that unless it's a record book kill, they don't sell for anywhere near $20,000. They may cost that much to hunt and then mount, but not to buy.

            Take a look:

and there are tons of antler-only mounts on eBay too. I keep looking for one to buy myself, so that's why I've been commenting. For $20k, I'm going on the hunt myself, get a big one, having it mounted and still saving money.

Guys pay outrageous money at Barrett-Jackson, but that doesn't mean all old muscle cars are work $200k, either.

            A very interesting story, though.

              Patrick..it isn't the destination..its the journey.

Merry Christmas and best of Holidays.

              Regards,

              Joe

we only got $1100 for a mounted rhino head

that my FIL mounted when he did that type of work and the guy never picked up. it needed some repairs because some creature had eaten some of it away.
