Not that I want to start another "bash UPS" thread but I was a little ticked to come in from the garage tonight to find my CARBON STEEL exhaust just laying in the back yard. Good thing it's been nice and warm here otherwise it would have been laying on a snow bank! I think they are calling for rain on Thur so would have been real nice!

I think what Greg is trying to convey is that carbon steel
exhaust components when left to the elements, quickly
oxidize.Had a set NOS off road on a previous car,kept them
in perfect condition by coating them with TIRE SHINE during
winter storage.Comment

A couple of weeks ago when we got home after work, setting on our deck was one of those sealed foam shipping boxes from Omaha Steaks, (a gift from relatives). The problem was that it wasn't so sealed anymore.
It looked like the U.P.S. dude either attempted to stand on the package and it caved in or he just plain booted it off the truck.
If it wasn't for the boxing tape liberally used on these foam cartons, the contents would have been spilled out who knows where. You could reach right inside and touch the contents.
The U.P.S. rep's solution to the problem was to just re-freeze the meats and they would "probably" be ok.
After calling the Omaha Steaks rep, she stated that U.P.S. was quickly heading for their sh_t list as this was the worst year ever for damage or missing orders.
She couldn't believe that I was encouraged to re-freeze thawd meat or thawd anything for that matter.
Long story short, Omaha replaced the order and yes it arrived via U.P.S. again, this time in one piece.
The idiots!
Ahh.........., now I can go back to my warm cookies and cold milk HO HO HO!Comment

The good part is that the steaks over an 1" thick. The bad is that they're the diameter of a hamburger patty

My mother-in-law was the one who got us hooked on them, what else could she buy a son-in-law on birthdays, Christmas, etc.
