    Generator #1102041

The generator in my '57 should be #11023043. I just bought this car and the generator that came in one of the boxes is number 1102041. I believe it is from a '57 full size Chevrolet and has an output shaft at the back that I believe it to drive a power steering pump. Is there any way I can use a tach drive behind this generator and use it in my '57 Vette?
    Thanks..

Yes it's the same generator , you may need to change the front pully (HP) and tag to be correct, 55 to 57 Car P/S Generators are all the same!

The power steering pump drive shaft and the tachometer drive shaft as well as the mounting holes for the pump and tach drive are functionally interchangable. There are some differences in the generator end plates that are discernable so if you want to have it judged, you can't just change the tag and expect it pass.
