    DeWitts Price increase

I posted this on the CF & I thought I would pass on the word to everyone here.

We are going to have a price increase on the restoration radiators effective Jan 1st. All Restoration radiators are going up $100 across the board.
We are doing this because both aluminum material and brazing costs have gone up several times. Our prices have remained the same for over six years and we've absorbed all the price increases. Can't do it anymore. But just in case anyones is shocked, here is what GM sold them for 22 years ago.

PART 1984 GM list DeWitts 2007
    3150916 $855 $870
    3155316 $655 $795

It's the good thing GM discontinued them or they would be $3000 now. So, if you were thinking of getting one, now is the time!

    Tom------

I TOTALLY agree; you've done a "yeoman's job" of keeping the price down on these radiators. GM generally did a price increase at least a few times a year. Since 1984, GM list prices have gone up generally about 225% and, for some items, MUCH more. I expect that these radiators, if they were still available from GM, would be in the "much more" category as far as percentage increase is concerned.

These stacked plate radiators are one of the few parts that I thought would never be reproduced. You proved me wrong. Plus, you did it with a beautiful and extremely high quality reproduction in every respect.

        Tom,
Glad I got my order in - will probably see the radiator, expansion tank and hoses late next week or Christmas week. Thanks for supporting this hobby with quality products. Ken

I was very satisfied with service (no charge) in regard to Tom repairing a leak in a new radiator. Wish all vendors operated like this!

If you want to see the step-by-step process by which Tom makes the Harrison stacked-plate aluminum radiators, grab a copy of the March issue of "Corvette Enthusiast" magazine (out in about 3-4 weeks); Tom was kind enough to open his shop one Saturday a month or so ago and take me through it.

Tom - are the direct fit radiators going up in price, too? Thanks for the info.
