Less than 2 years ago I had my 60' media blasted and then painted with a base coat/clear coat finish. Since the paint has no imperfections I just want a high quality wax to protect the new finish. I will be going to car shows in the spring and summer and have been looking at Zymol's Concourse Glaze @ $150/8oz. adn Destiny Estate Glaze @ $444/8oz. Does anyone know if these products or worth the price?

Re: Zymol's Concours Glaze
I can't imagine paying those prices for wax, unless it's labeled Chanel No.5, in a crystal bottle. Each to their own, but I use Meguiar's "Gold Class" liquid - EZ on, EZ off, terrific gloss and depth, and it lasts a season.- Top

Re: Zymol's Concours Glaze
you could just go to walmart and get the Zymol they it sell for about 12 bucks, as it is rated number 1 on the wax. and you can build layers with it as it is water based. I have never used it on my car but I did use it on a clear coat model that I just painted and it was great. but I dont think one needs to spend that kind of money on wax jmtcw.- Top

Re: Zymol's Concours Glaze
I have to agree with John. I've tried many different waxes and I still find Meguiar's Gold Class works the best on any kind of finish. It goes on easy, leaves no streaks and lasts longer than other waxes. Occasionally I go over it with a detailer and it looks as good as when I first put it on.- Top

Re: Zymol's Concours Glaze
I too have used Meguiar's Gold Class for years but noticed that it did not rate well in the recent Consumer Reports ratings. In fact just about all of the Meguiar's products rated fair to poor.- Top

The Corvette never rates that well either, but it doesn't stop us from buying them.

Re: Zymol's Concours Glaze
Those prices on the Zymol Glazes are crazy!!
Wonder if Barrett Jackson gets a cut on those?
http://www.zymol.com/destiny.htm Regular Price: $525.00
http://www.zymol.com/atlantiq.htm 8 ounces: Regular Price: $968.00
and ohhhhh last but not least! Regular Price: $1650.00 (unlimited)
The directions....
"Put a very small amount of the glaze to the palm of your hand. Use the warmth of your hands to melt the Carnauba. Then with your other hand please sign the papers for a new mortgage to pay for your supply of glaze..."
If they came with some hot Brazilan Chicks that will do the polishing for you, then we would be talking.
Stick with the Maquire's or Zaino.- Top

i use the standard zymol wax i guess looking at the prices - good results and you only need very little of the stuff.
