    72 shouldler belt bolt

i have 2 sets of bolts sitting around, need to know which one is correct for mounting should belt retractor. on a late model 72 convertible
1st ones have L.L. marking on a slightly domed bolt head, 2nd has same L.L. marking, but on a flat bolt head. also slightly shorter in length then 1st bolt.

How many bolts do you have in each set? I'm unfamiliar with the 72 retractor set-up, but it's bound to have four bolts for the lap belt ends, and two for the shoulder bolt end mounting.

i've already got the seat belts in. But i had the earlier mentioned bolts left over. They were in a bin with bolts from my 72, i also had a 71 and some older SS seat bolts. So only the shoulder belts in question

          thanks lyle,
i found my photos i'd taken while taking about interior. i have the domed hex heads but they wouldnt tighten up snug. now i see where i took off a washer during that time and misplaced that. So need 2 washers to mount snug. if anyone has please let me know. or even size would help.

            Ken
The design of the bolts was so the retractor could pivot to line up with the seat. If you are installing washers their was none on originally that I know of as the threads on the bolt should bottom out on the nut and leave the retractor so it could move a little.

              Re: 72 shouldler belt bolt

i just reviewed the aim manual and it show a washer in the shoulder bolt, If i use the original bolts i have a little bit of play enough the wobbling while driving can drive u nuts. In 72 aim, UPC1, Sheet F30 on view A, shows a washer #3954735. I figure the washer would along me another 1/8 in. to snug down.
i'm looking at a set off a 71 retractor (shoulder belt) and the pattern in the area for the bolt looks like it had a washer there, perfect round pattern vs hex head pattern on it. Thanks for help lyle and anything u can find out about this washer would be great.
