Re: RACE PICTURES NEEDED FOR RESTORATION
Addendum: i misread john's post. he stated Vin 3963 was built as a RPO 684 while i didn't read the post and assumed he was stating the vette was a RPO 579E. Perhaps a little backround on RPO's for 57 is needed. RPO 684 was a heavy duty/brake option. RPO 684 didn't include airbox feature while RPO 579E included the brake/suspension and airbox. Since the 57 VIN 3963 had an airbox in place when i considered buying it @ 10 years ago, i got confused. the car is a RPO 684 and has considerable east coast SCCA racing history. i apologize if i confused this issue. regards, mike- Top

Re: RACE PICTURES NEEDED FOR RESTORATION
As a related story of interest, read that current issue of Rodder's Journal for more on Rosenthal Chevrolet and their involvement in early racing. The article is about a 36 Ford roadster primarily, but the txt about early racing involvement is very interesting.

Re: RACE PICTURES NEEDED FOR RESTORATION
John,
Did you ever consider checking at the Library of Congress? A friend used to work there and mentioned many times that they had just about everything you could imagine.

Re: RACE PICTURES NEEDED FOR RESTORATION
Yes, Rosenthal was involved in racing activities right through the late '60s and used the COPO program. Sorry, not the same trailor...........THAT would be a neat find to go along with the '57!

Re: Verne nice photo Could you help
Phil,
I believe I have a very old lead to contact Mousie but it's burried deep. If I can find it, I'll contact you privately so I won't dilute this thread any further. He also ran a '62 Belair, '63 Impala, '66 Biscayne and a later Nova with a Lowe Chevrolet banner on it. I have no idea whether he was at Rosenthal as early as '57 or not.
