The rears were semi-gloss black. Quanta sells a specialty paint for this application and it works quite well.

As Joe noted, semi-gloss black is correct. The wheels were dip-primed semi-gloss black, then the face was sprayed argent silver, with some silver overspray going through the "slots". Photo below shows an unmolested original '69 Z/28 rally wheel that was painted exactly the same way - you can see the silver overspray that came through the slots.
