    63 conv seats_ mystery part

(I would normally post a picture, but I'm temporarily unable to access my posting site)

I have 4 small right-angle brackets left over after reassembling the seat frames. One leg is about 1" long and the other leg is about 1.5". There is a hole in each leg (2 per bracket). I found 4 small screws in the bag with the brackets. From this description, can anyone tell me where the brackets go?

    Thanks.

    Steve

                    Steve,

Can't think of any "correct" brackets matching your description belonging to a 63 seat frame. I think what you may have are someone's attempt to make replacement height adjuster brackets.

Do you have "any" height adjuster brackets at all? These will have serations that interlock with the seat frame itself when the adjuster bolt is tightened.

Oops, the car is 63, but the seat frames are actually 64, no height adjustment. When I get the picture posted, I'll retitle the post. Bracket might be the wrong word; attachment might be closer.

                            Steve ,

I am not sure if 66 has the same frames ,but what you describe sounds like the brackets tha secure the rear of the frame to the sides of the frame .In my case the longer portion attaches to the back while the smaller portion attaches to the side , with matching pre-drilled holes in the frames.
