    C2 firewall

I am doing a frame off on a 66, first, are the clips on the firewall painted in blackout process? Also, the semi-gloss that quanta says is correct for the firewall and inner fenders seem to me to be too glossy. Is this paint correct?

    Thanks

    Jeremy,
I'll be interested in seeing what someone with judging experience says about your paint question. In my opinion, Quanta semi-gloss black is too glossy for firewall and inner fenders.

When I painted my '65, I used Quanta semiflat black. It looked correct when I compared it to the original paint that was very good in places.

I'm confused by your statement that Quanta says the semi-gloss is correct for the firewall. It does not say that on the semi-gloss cans that I have in the garage. In fact, they state on their Semiflat Black that it is "for use on firewalls, wheelwells, the underside of hoods, and more..."

    Good luck with your '66.

    Regards,
    Gene

        Jeremy -

Virtually all of the clips were riveted on in the Body Shop, and were present during the blackout operation; you want semi-flat, not semi-gloss, for the firewall, inner fenders, and underside of the hood.
