The paint that was used is: DuPond Chromabase, basecoat-clearcoat.
My painter just called, and suggested the same as what you suggested, to repair the nicks, wet sand the entire car and re-shoot the paint. He stated that his paint booth is not "good enough", so I should have somebody else redo it, if I want a better job. Thats what I will do...
I will pay him the 5000 and chalk it up as experience.
Maybe it looks "acceptable" in day light, as you mentioned...
