Driveshaft question C2 versus C3

All, What is the difference between a C2 driveshaft and a C3? Is there a length issue, diameter issue, etc.? I heard diameter. If so what are the two diameters. Thanks.

According to my '53 thru '71 P & A 30B book, it shows '63 thru '70 (exc. T.H.) overall length 31 25/32. '68 thru '70 w/T.H 400 and '71 Corvette overall length 26 1/16.

The 63-67 Corvette driveshaft for ALL applications is functionally identical to the 68-70 with manual trans driveshaft.

1968-70 with THM and ALL 1971-79 use a driveshaft which is about 3/4" shorter and which has yoke ends designed for use with different size u-joints than the above.

Not that I know of. Certainly, there are no part numbers anywhere to be found (except forging numbers sometimes seen on the yokes). These forging numbers are different than earlier since the yokes are different. However, I don't know what they are.
