Car Insuranc Providers

I just received my car insurance renewal notice for next year. The policy is currently with Infinity Insurance - the agency is Paris-Heacock. The insurer was recommended by a friend who has several very high dollar collector Mustangs.

My annual cost is $390 - coverage is for $50,000 actual cash value with $250K/$500K liablity for my '65 Second Flight small block roadster. I am allowed 5,000 driving miles per year. Restrictions include I may not drive the car to work.

Looking for other agencies/companies that Corvette owners have used/are using and would recommend.

I've used American Collector's insurance based in NJ (www.americancollectors.com) for several years. They underwrite in many states. I pay just over $500/year for similar coverage and declared value but the higher price is likely due to the higher risks of theft and accident in the NY/NJ metro area.

I researched them all and based on what I learned and what everyone else suggested on this and other Corvette Forums, I chose Haggerty for my Corvette and my 79 450SLC Benz.
I have agreed upon value for both cars, no driving restrictions other than DAILY commute to work (Occasional commute to work is OK) repair shop of my choice, and they said I can drive from Massachusetts to Kentucky (because I asked) and it is not a problem.
Grundy and others limited the mileage and the use of the vehicle for shows or car meets.
For both cars, I pay half of what I used to pay for the Benz alone and I now have coverage with higher limits and lower deductibles than I had before. (Corvette insured for $40K Benz for $25K) I am happy. I spoke with people who had claims and they said payment was quick and without any quibbling.

I have had Hagerty for 8 years or so on 2 cars and found their rates to be extremely desirable but the true clincher was during the Ryder Cup in Michigan a few years ago. A woman in a Suburban backed into me with over 12k in damage. They were a little suprised at the estimate and sent an adjuster to the shop and the owner explained what was needed to the adjuster and I got the check within a week. They did follow-up calls to me making sure I was happy and the work was satisfactory. Top notch insurance company in my book.

I have American Collectors. I have two cars at stated value and the total for both combined is $500 per year. A 1970 Corvette I owned burned up in a garage fire and they paid the insured amount in full plus an appreciation amount. It was enough that I was able to buy another 1970 Corvette with cash.

Hagerty is top notch. I had hail damage in bowling green and they paid the claim promptly and followed up on the progress as the repairs were being made. The employees at Haggerty are very courteous and easy to work with. I highly recommend them. Jimmy

I had Grundy when I had hail damage at Bowling Green and they really screwed me on the claim. So I voted with my dollars and switched to Hagerty. I told Grundy that every chance I got I would let people know how they screwed me so thanks for the chance.

I have not had a claim with Hagerty but so far the dealings I have had with them when I needed to change my policy and such have been good.

I have them also , great company but the insurance card they send to keep in your wallet is a poor looking card or I should say paper.
