I finally was able to get to get the vacum door to open for the wipers,works great. Now the wipers won"t move . Do I start with a new wiper motor or is it possibly something else. Any ideas? Thanks Rick

Try the wiper motor relay first, it is the easiest place to check

Hi Rick: Maybe you already tried this, but the first place to start is the interlock on the firewall that prevents the wipers from starting while the door is closed. I am not right at the car this minute, but if memory serves me, the wiper door has a plunger attached that pushes an interlock in the engine compartment on the firewall. You can even press the button by hand. If the plunger on the wiper door is not adjusted correctly or is missing, the wiper circiut is dead and you will be chasing a problem that may not exist. Its the easiest place to start, and if it ain't right, nothing will energize. Good luck. I will try to get a picture to you...Regards...Joe 46448Comment
