C2 Belt Buckle Restoration

I am wanting to repaint the belt buckles for my 65. The interior carpet is black so the buckles should be painted that also. But what gloss should be used and the JG refers to a Textured finish. What do they mean by this and how do I acomplish this finish?

A black matte finish spray paint should give you the results you are looking for. Either buy a can of black interior spray paint/dye to match your '65 interior color from one of the Corvette vendors or go to your local hardware store and look to see what they have. The seat belt buckles should closely resemble the color and finish of the center dash and the under dash side panels.
