Norm
Thanks. Copied my original to use as a reference when I torn my 70 down long ago.Was a good idea, after looking at the condition of that copied cover. Haven't located the original yet. Thats why I asked.- Top

Re: C3 1970 Judging Manual
Dennis, your 70-72 judging manual has to be the First Edition. The Second and Third Editions have very similar front covers with the rectangular NCRS logo and a hand drawing of a 70-72 Corvette viewed from the driver side front quarter.
The Second and Third Editions are vastly improved "Technical Information Manuals"; I don't need to tell you that you should upgrade at the earliest opportunity.- Top

Re: C3 1970 Judging Manual
I hope you can upgrade but it's been out of print for one or two years. I am sure it will be posted when the new one comes out as the demand is high. If you have a extra old copy put it on E-bay. I would like to see how far it would be bid up.

Genuine NOS 70-72 black fiberglass front fender, $Arm; Two thermostat housing bolts with RSC headstamp, $Leg; Genuine NCRS 3rd Edition 70-72 TIM&JG, first printing, $Priceless!
I'm hoarding mine...waiting for the market to go up even further.- Top

Actually...
Lyle, Dennis, Jim...If you can find a 2nd Edition, do not hesitate to buy it. The 2nd Edition is where light years of improvement in the 70-72 judging manual occurred...70-72 owners are indebted to some outstanding work on the 2nd Edition. Upgrade to the new edition when it becomes available.
In my opinion, the 3rd Edition added a little polish, but the bulk of the material was already there in the second edition. It may be my reduced familiarity with the 3rd Edition, but I would swear that it is "thinner" and I sometimes think that in the "refinement" some valuable raw information was omitted, but that's just me.- Top

Re: Actually...
Chuck,
Your assumption is correct, the second edition was vastly improved with a wealth of knowledge included, not present in the first edition. The second edition is thicker than the third edition as well. I have all three and the second and third editions are still very helpful for almost all situations.- Top
