    The General quit using the rivets on the 73 model and the bonding I have seen that was weakened on a 73 was from the rusting of the metal bar. I think the 73 bar holds the same weight as the 72. I have put a few of thease on by bonding with no problem but the way thease cars are used today they would last forever in a museum/trailer queen.
