Still looking for the current owners of both the 1500 mile green/saddle 65 FI conv that Krughoff once owned and also the blue/blue 65 396 that Burroughs used for the book "Corvette Restoration, State Of The Art". Both had original saddle soft tops and I'd like to have pic's of the inside of one/both if possible. Thanks.

I believe that Ed Foss owns the green fuelie. As far as the blue 396 car I almost bought it five years ago, it was beautiful. Anyhow the car was sold at the Bloomington Gold auction in I believe 2004. Call Dana Mecum, maybe he can help you locate the car.

Hi Mike, My name is Don and I used to own that 396. I sold it to a guy in PA and he is the one that sold it at the auction. His nickname is "Red". In fact I just saw him at the Boston regional in September. Great options, paperwork, and history on that car and it did have the original tan soft top on it. Just another one I wish I never sold.

Thanks Don. I too owned that car for a while. I purchased it in Calif in the mid/late 70's and drove it all over the west and south. Came INCHES away from running off a cliff and into the ocean on highwat 1 in Calif while road racing with some foreign car. All I have left now are a lot of great pictures and memories.

Is there any way to contact "Red"? Wonder if he has any idea where it went.
