See the 53 to 55 Corvette was not all bad for owners that had one.
So don't feel to bad if your also stuck owning one today , I like driving my 55 around.

Thanks for that great article, Roy. I have driven my 54 for over 16 years and like it very much. My only complaint is also the top. Maybe I should get a "bubble"??????????????????

Joe I feel the same way about the soft top, other wise I love driving my 55 around , my bubble top is easy and fast to install and better at keeping the heat in when the weather is cold.

I just cant mention my top with out some one thinking I'm forcing people to buy one, if I talk about my dealer accessory wire wheels are people going to think they have to get a set, or buy accessories ,may be mentioning my 55 may cause some NCRS members to add accessories to their Corvette so when they go to a NCRS meet people will ask them WHY they brought (that) Corvette. I've been asked that same thing by some people.
(just cant win) with some members!

Roy, I was biting my tongue on this.Just about anyone who owns a '53 -'55 knows you sell bubbletops, myself included. If I was inclined to buy one, I would. If I do, I know who to call and did before I joined NCRS. The fact you mentioned you liked how your top held in heat in the winter is no big deal to me. People FREQUENTLY hawk vendors on this forum who are members, hang in there, this is just silly. This forum can be as goofy as political races...

On another note, I'm putting my engine and trans back together today and will be mounting it in my freshly refinished frame. Then, a new exhaust system and I'm on to body work and paint. Maybe new years Hot August Nights you'll see a much more completed '55.
