    C1 Hardtop Wrench

I am trying to find a "correct" C1 Hardtop wrench for my 59. I see a lot of wrenches on eBay that people say "may be correct" but I would like more information about what is actually correct. I have heard that a correct wrench is 1/2 & 9/16ths, open ended, and says "Drop Forged" on it but that is all I know. Am I correct in thinking this? Also, I have seen wrenches with a number at one end on the opposite side from the size marking and do not understand what that number means or if I need a special number for my car. Should it also say "Made in USA" and/or be a Vlchek?

Any information you can share about this would be of great help.

    Thank you!!!!

Mine for my 62 which I know is origonal has 1/2 on one end, 9/16 on the other and DROP FORGED in between. On the other side it has MADE IN U.S.A. and a number 8 on the end that corresponds to the 9/16.

I think I got these from the archives years ago.

I suspect that the small number that is seen on the "Made in USA" side is a mold number. I have seen many different numbers on these wrenches over the years.
