C1Rear Wheel Bearing Retainers

Can someone tell me the correct finish for the retainers - mine show their age and some surface rust but appear to be unpainted and unplated. Also, Para--n shows an exploded assembly in their catalog that the retainers are fastened by bolts coming from the center of the chassis out to the wheel. The retainers that I removed from my car have the four square head bolts pressed into the retainer plate and fastened with nuts toward the strut rod mount on axle housing. Thanks, Eric 31337
