I found this metal under the carpet of a 72 years ago. I often wondered what it was. Obviously dropped by a line worker. Do any of you know what this is all about?

did gm open up some sort of plant there?

Looks like a memento from one of the "incentive" cruises they used to put on for the top-producing dealership salesmen; there were lots of them in those days.

So maybe someone at the dealership lost it. It may have been just under the seat and not under the carpet. I dont remember. 100 days is a pretty good cruise.
