HELP - Can anyone tell me what the yellow & red lines are on a 1972 LT1 225 HP tachometer face. Thank you for your time and help.

It depends upon whether the car was equipped with air conditioning, or not. For 1972 only, some LT-1's were so-equipped.

For 1972 LT-1's without A/C, the yellow arc began at about 6300 RPM. The red arc began at 6500 RPM

For 1972 LT-1's with A/C, the yellow arc began at about 5800 RPM and the red arc began at 6000 RPM.

Also, I neglected to mention previously, 1972 LT-1's were rated at 255 SAE NET HP and not 225 SAE NET HP.

1972 LT1 with A/C should have a 5600 redline.
