1966 Engine pad stamp / Eng. block casting No.

Help - Does anyone know if it is possible to have a block casting #3782870 on a 1966 convertible 327/350 hp . The Corvette Black Book has this casting number for 1965 models, but no mention of its use in 1966. My Vette info is as follows: Vin # 194676S102413, Engine Block Casting No. 3782870, Block casting date B55, Engine Pad Vin Stamp 6102413, Intake manifold 3890490, Engine code stamp F0901HT. The engine code stamp is suspicious. The numbers & letters are 1/4" high and appear to be individually stamped. Is this a bad attempt at a re-stamp or are there other possible scenarios.

In addition, the casting date is February, 1965; wrong casting number to begin with, over a year too early.
