does anyone have clear pictures of the correct number and positon of the clips to connect the stainless trim on a 1963 conv. need help ......thanks NANCY

Check you AIM (Chevrolet Assembly Manual) There should be a drawing in there showing the locations. There was an earlier post that suggested increasing the quantity in key locations to aid in holding the trim in place. -
And, If You Don't Have The AIM...
You can also make good use of some vendor catalogs. You can learn a lot about Corvettes from catalogs because they have to use illustrations to show you what you're buying. Often they will have an illustration of the area of interest, and sometimes not. If you want confirmation, compare different vendors' illustrations. Try this one:

Actually, the AIM shows the C3 upper molding taking eight clips instead of six as shown in the referenced illustration.
In the 70 AIM, there are six of PN 3913937 and two of PN 3936399...I seem to remember that PN 3936399 (used outboard near corner molding) have been virtually un-obtainable for more than a decade, but I could be all wet on that.Comment
