original BB windage tray studs & nuts

    Hi all !

Can someone please post an image of an original nut that was used to attach
the BB windage tray to the main cap studs? I've seen so many stud sets on
eBay, but with different nuts included. Were these nuts crimped at the top
    to keep them from untightening?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Steve------

Attached is a photo of the windage tray attaching nut. It's a distorted thread type locknut of GM #9422297. It's still available from GM.

One doesn't have to use this locknut, though. You can use a regular hex nut with LockTite thread locking compound. GM might have used that, too, but it wasn't invented yet.
