Re: Love the wire wheels
Roy,
I always thought the '53-55 looked much improved with wire wheels, more like an Italian sports car. And the wire over the headlights, boy, that's really sporty Italian looking.

Re: Love the wire wheels
The person owning the 54 ,it's been raced and was one time in Germany and always had the wire wheels on it. He said it's now being restored . Any one knowing me knows I spend little time Q-tipping my Corvette but I do keep it garaged and take care of it, I lost points in judging last year on cleaning , but HAY! I drive it and have oil leeks. Your right it goes with the wire headlights and gives it a sporty look then those ugly hub caps.I keep my NOS original caps on the garage wall and don't see ever using them .

Re: Love the wire wheels
Hi Roy, I own this car and the original caps can stay in the garage. Before this car was used in germany for some road races, it was owned by Bill Harrah. The wheels make the car.- Top
