    50% readout on 1967 Temp&Fuel Gauges

My Temperature and Fuel gauges were working properly up until about a month ago when they started reading approximately 30 to 50% of the real values. They respond to the key been switched on and off. However when I have a full tank of gas it always reads the same.Ditto for the Temperature ,it stays put even though the engine is hot or cold. Any suggestions ,before I dive behind the dash?

Check the engine and IP grounds.

      Mark,

Check all you connections at the senders for good contact first. Flakey ground connections or contact at the senders, or the instrument panel is the usual. If both guages are doing it, the instrument panel ground is suspect.
