What is the procedure to prepare seat belt buckles for painting that have never been painted? Thanks, Jimmy

Clean and polish 'em up. Remove the latch lever (study the side of the buckle and you'll see an E-clip holding the latch pivot pin) by pulling the pivot pin and note the orientation of the latch lever return springs. Paint the latch handle and re-assemble.
