    original motor

    Need some help please!!! I purchased a 63 coupe from the original owner with all the documentation!! the car came with power windows and a 360 horse fuel injection engine!!! when checking the #s I found that the vin. #s on the pad are double stamped??? it seems to me I saw some were that this has happened from the factory from time to time??? the owner was an older gentleman and assured me the engine has never been out of the car!!! any help would be appreciated.

      Frank, There are many instances of double stamps/overstamps/grinded down factory stamps etc. The proof is in the broach marks on the pad. I would photograph the pad and send it to the 63 team leader to look at. The address is always in the NCRS Restorer mag.
